About this Position
As a Tax Specialist (Sales & Use Tax), you will play an important role in helping ensure compliance with US Sales & Use Tax requirements through effective exemption certificate management. By maintaining accurate tax documentation and supporting the correct tax treatment of transactions, you will help reduce compliance risks, strengthen internal controls, and support seamless business operations.
You will be part of a collaborative tax and finance environment that works closely with business partners and vendors to maintain high standards of accuracy and compliance. This role offers the opportunity to develop expertise in indirect tax processes while contributing to a critical function that supports the organization's operational and regulatory requirements. Success in this position means ensuring exemption certificates are properly managed, tax-related records are maintained accurately, and compliance obligations are consistently met.
What you´ll do
- Manage exemption certificate activities for the US Sales & Use Tax process
- Monitor vendor transactions to support accurate tax treatment and compliance
- Review the taxability of purchases and identify applicable tax exemptions
- Issue and maintain exemption certificates for vendors in accordance with established requirements
What makes you a good fit
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, Tax, or any related courses
- Preferably with one (1) year relevant experience in Finance or Tax role
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & PowerPoint, Outlook) is required
- Knowledge on SAP, or any ERP system, and Vertex Sales Tax, or any Tax Tool System is an advantage
- Excellent command of spoken and written English; Must be a team player, and detail-oriented
- Fresh graduates are welcome to apply
- Amenable to on a mid‑shift schedule (12:00 NN –to 9:00 PM), and report on a hybrid work set-up in Ayala Avenue, Makati
